The non-elite that Andreessen so condescendingly offers to pacify with AI girlfriends (I kid you not) ain’t passively observing AI; they’re deeply anxious about tangible issues: the prospect of job loss against the march of automation, the erosion of privacy in a world dominated by AI, and the terrifying ethical quandaries posed by unchecked technological advancement.
A decade of discontent is coming.
