I read this waiting for a connecting flight after leaving my 91 year old mom earlier today. I'm so grateful, as she is, that she is still able to be at home. My father died there in his sleep at 91; mom is praying for the same. To be safe in her own bed when she chooses to go. As I cradled her face and said "I love you," I wondered if it was the last time I will see her eyes. Hope not, but I'm lucky to have seen them one more time. Great piece, and very necessary topic.
