Thank you for sharing your beautiful (and beautifully written!) story. We need the reminding that our loved ones don't leave us entirely, and, that it's common for them to reach out and normal for us to hear, see, and feel them.
I have many stories from clients, but my most recent visit was from my father-in-law shortly after his death.
I was in his bedroom tidying up when the radio on the nightstand suddenly played low static, as if it was between stations.
I felt his presence, and laughed when I saw that the radio was turned off and wasn't even plugged into the wall. A testament to his determination to say hello.
The way he chose to connect revealed much to me in that moment--it was a deep conversation with no words that filled me with understanding.
That's the gift of these encounters.
